She’ll be coming ‘round the mountain when she comes.

I started the walk this morning at 8 AM. I found a café open and had a coffee but all they had to eat was cake. I ate the cake. I headed out of town, walking 2 miles to Buiza, where the pavement ends.

Walking a lonely road into Buiza, I asked God for an angel to protect me as I walked. As I rounded a corner a huge dog came running at me. She was very skinny and looked hungry so I gave her half my lunch. Some angels have wings, mine are definitely dogs.

Early morning
“Please give me food….”

I walked STRAIGHT up out of town into the mountains. Stopping often to catch my breath and steady my heart. For 2 hours I climbed.

Goodbye Buiza!
Sun on the hills
The path skirts the mountain
Don’t look down!

I’ll be thinking of you all day as you make it through your hardest day. I love the angel doggie, she is so homely she’s cute! those trails look scarey but I know you’ll be careful. Love you Ginja ________________________________
