The weather predicted 100% rain and it delivered. The entire 4 hour walk into town was with full rain gear. Only one spot where I climbed through the brush and slid down trails: 1/4 mile of it, enough to feel I had had enough!

The rest of the walk (4-5 miles) was on a river walking trail. Gently sloping down into town.

No WiFi in the student housing, so I’ll post pics tomorrow. Tomorrow: Oviedo! For now: a nap.

I’m at the end of the mountains, and staying in student housing tonight (20 euros). My bare cell of a room does have its own bathroom, counting blessings. There also is a very nice grocery store a block down the street.
