I hope the dates aren’t out of order: the WiFi isn’t strong out here in the country.
The countryside was beautiful, but the wind and low temps made for fast walking to keep warm.
Today I made the decision to walk a short day, partially due to the vertigo and also because I know the hill I have to climb after this town.
Instead, I used a couple of hours to climb up to the ruins of an old castle. Very cool. I took my time in the brisk day, stopping to let my heart catch up. The castle was so amazing. I imagined the conversations in the courtyard and tried to picture living in such tight quarters.
I don’t know if my pictures will load. I may have to load tomorrow.
Making reservations several days out now due to lack of lodging. There are just hundreds of pilgrims a day on the path. I’m never alone. In two weeks my sisters join me. I’m looking forward to that!
I am staying in a newer albergue that is owned by a Korean woman and her sweet Spanish husband. We are having a Korean meal “Bim Bop,” and I remembered reading a book to my Kindergarten class with that title. It looks delicious. Boadilla tomorrow.
I LOVE THE PHOTOS OF THE RUINS AND THE STONE AND TILE ROOFS AND HOMES. IT JUST MAKES ONE WONDER HOW MANY YEARS SINCE THOSE WERE BUILT! THAN YOU FOR TAKING US THERE WITH YOU!
