Yesterday’s laundry did not dry. So into a ziplock it went. When I left my Albergue this morning, it was threatening to rain. I took my raincoat out but my host said “no no it will not rain. Do not wear it. ” Who am I to argue with a Spaniard? I set off in rolling hills of wheat fieldsAnd walked fast to catch up with my friends. They had stayed in a town 3 km ahead of me. As I rounded the corner in the next village, I saw them sitting on a bench adjusting their shoes. I walked with them today and it was so much better than walking alone. and walked fast to catch up with my friends. They had stayed in a town 3 km ahead of me. There seem to be more bicyclists on the road today, calling out in bright voices, “Buen Camino!” Which I begin to Translate: watch out watch out!
The little villages are so lovely
My favorite town today was Belorado. We found a beautiful mural of St. James and I admired the art.
Another hour of walking and I found my Casa Rural. When I researched it, google translated the name to be “House of Desires” but it might mean dreams. It’s a B&B with 4 rooms. The only other person here is a guy from Ireland. Dinner is at 7pm. The sun is shining and a strong wind is blowing so my laundry should dry this afternoon.
Message for my friend Noels which I found on my wall
Tomorrow is a very long and difficult day, with steep hills!
