Only 12 Km?! Oh goodness…the most beautiful walk through forest, fields, and beside a river. My feet tell me that I should rest here in Zabaldika at the San Esteban refuge….and I will only go as far as my feet carry me.

This refuge is run by a convent and their ministry is to help pilgrims. A nice bed, dinner, laundry, breakfast: donation only. They believe that each pilgrim represents Christ “as you have done to the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.”

It’s a beautiful day, but very warm! I’m so glad to stop. 1 pm. More later: a sister wants to feed me!!! Praise to God!
